Johann Darus is the Britannian Royal Trade Minister; it doesn't appear to be known is this means he's THE Minister of Trade (the same way Magnus Grey is the Minister of Security) or if he just works for the Ministry in some high-level capacity.

He is frequently found in Ter Mur in the Royal City, especially around the bank, plying his primary and secondary professions.

His secondary profession, by the way, is intelligence, monitoring financial transactions between Ter Mur and Britannia. Or, this WAS his second job, before he was exposed by Ninjas hired by the Demon Conclave. The Ninjas were killing every Royal Spy they could find the name of, or trying to do so. More combat-specializing Royal Spies, however, were able to rescue Darus from Ninja attack in the Royal City. What happened to Mr. Darus after this is not known, though it can safely be presumed that he's being guarded someplace.
