the body cannot strive 
and win 
The heart surrenders
at the last 
And all go forth
healed

The pilgrim sets his
feet again where he
once sought 
and feline rage allows
the way 
To all who seyk and
founder in their
seyking 
The winds of heav'n
ope' and are changed 
Yet the path lies not
where it seems 
Not the answer where
the question points 
Westward now he
looks and breaks his
staff 
In a hidden place
beneath 
The hermit sits 
Waiting for pity, 
waiting for comfort, 
waiting for the word 
But none offer 
For none understand
his need 
Now there is fire and
brimstone 
Deep rage and silent
hate 
Bar the way to the
place of reckoning 
Where few set foot
and fewer leave 
All burns in the
silence 
But all burns bright 
With the finding of
the last book....
